H7090WK30 Fuel filter

Large-diameter spin-on fuel filter for MAN trucks with high-output diesel engines, cross-referenced to MAN OEM 51125030066. The H7090WK30 is specified where a standard-sized filter would create excessive flow restriction at high engine loads — typically high-power variants of the D20 and D26 series. Unlike cartridge filters where only the paper element is replaced, the H7090WK30 is a sealed, disposable assembly: the filter medium, steel shell, and all internal components are discarded together at each service. This sealed construction means there is no opportunity for contamination entry during the filter change. When installing, apply a thin film of clean diesel to the new gasket, thread on by hand until the gasket contacts the seating face, then tighten by an additional half to three-quarter turn as specified — do not use a filter wrench for installation and do not over-tighten, as excess torque compresses the gasket permanently and makes removal at the next service difficult. Pre-fill the filter body with clean diesel before starting the engine to shorten the injection pump dry-running period.
