E56KPD72 Fuel filter

Tall narrow-format fuel filter element for MAN trucks, equivalent to MAN OEM 51125030042. The E56KPD72 fits a specific canister-style primary fuel filter housing used on TGA, TGS, TGX, and TGM platforms, where the canister body stays in place and only the paper element is changed at each service. This cartridge arrangement simplifies disposal and reduces waste compared to spin-on filters. The element provides high-efficiency filtration of diesel fuel including effective free-water separation — water collects in the sump of the filter canister and should be drained at each element change or whenever the water-in-fuel dashboard warning activates. In mixed fleets using biodiesel blends with FAME content above B7, microbial growth inside the fuel system is a known issue — check the filter element for signs of biological contamination (dark slime on the media surface) and shorten the change interval if detected. When replacing, drain the canister completely before removing the element, inspect the housing O-ring and base drain plug seal, and renew both if compression set or surface cracking is visible.
