High-capacity primary air filter element for larger MAN TGX and TGS engines, equivalent to MAN OEM 81084050033. The E428L01's extended dimensions reflect the higher volumetric airflow requirements of big-displacement or high-power D20 and D26 engines — at peak load these engines consume several thousand litres of air per minute, and a restricted intake directly limits the amount of fuel that can be burned cleanly. Filter sizing is not interchangeable between different housings: an undersized element raises intake restriction and clips power output; an element that is physically too large will not seat correctly and allows unfiltered air to bypass into the intake. Always confirm the housing part number against the Hengst fitment guide before ordering if there is any uncertainty about the correct variant. Replace at the intervals in the MAN maintenance schedule or when the restriction indicator is triggered. In heavy off-road or agricultural operating conditions — where dust loading is significantly above normal — inspect the restriction indicator more frequently and bring forward the replacement interval as needed.
