Kolbenschmidt wet cylinder liner for MAN 126 engine series, sealed with FKM/FPM (Viton) O-ring seals. Wet cylinder liners are removable precision-bored sleeves inserted directly into the block water jacket — they contact coolant on their outer surface and rely entirely on O-ring seals at the lower register to prevent coolant from entering the crankcase. The MAN 126 engine series is a heavy-duty diesel used in long-haul trucks and industrial applications. FKM/FPM (fluoroelastomer) O-rings are specified here over standard EPDM because of their superior resistance to high coolant temperatures above 130°C and compatibility with a broader range of coolant inhibitor chemistries including OAT and HOAT formulations. Supplied as an individual liner — order the quantity required for the number of cylinders being serviced. When fitting, clean the block bore and register thoroughly, lightly lubricate the O-rings with clean coolant, and press the liner straight down without rotation to avoid pinching the seals. After installation, hone the liner bore to the surface finish specified by Kolbenschmidt before fitting new pistons and rings.
