Genuine MAN air filter element for the engine intake system on MAN TGL, TGM, TGS, and TGX platforms. Positioned inside the air cleaner housing, it removes dust, pollen, road grit, and abrasive particulate from incoming combustion air before it reaches the turbocharger compressor wheel and engine cylinders. Even small quantities of abrasive particles passing the filter cause accelerated compressor blade erosion and cylinder bore wear — both are expensive to repair and difficult to diagnose early. Replace at the service interval defined in the MAN maintenance schedule, or earlier when the restriction indicator mounted on the air cleaner housing shows red, or when operating in dusty or agricultural environments where filter loading is significantly higher than on-road use. Never clean a used paper element with compressed air and reinstall — the paper media is permanently deformed and compromised once it has been loaded with dust. Always inspect the housing seal and outlet duct for cracks or damage when fitting a new element, as air leaks downstream of the filter bypass filtration entirely.
