SACHS clutch kit for manual transmission MAN heavy trucks. The kit contains the clutch disc, pressure plate assembly, and release bearing — the three components that must always be replaced together to restore correct clutch function. SACHS is a ZF Group brand and a direct OEM supplier to MAN for drivetrain components. Replacing only individual components — for example, fitting a new disc against a worn pressure plate — causes vibration, judder, and premature failure of the new part within a short period. Symptoms indicating clutch replacement is needed include slipping under load (engine RPM rises without a corresponding increase in road speed), difficulty engaging gears due to incomplete disengagement, clutch judder on take-off, and burning smell. When performing a clutch replacement on a MAN heavy truck, inspect and measure the flywheel friction surface for heat cracks, scoring, and run-out — a damaged flywheel causes immediate clutch judder with a new disc.
